We have some awesome Primary leaders who really do a great job. Caleb had lots of fun with Jeff too. Apparently the little old lady Jeff had to exam thought Caleb was pretty cute; she loved talking with him and tried to give him a dollar. When they picked us up, Caleb was so excited to show me the treat Daddy had gotten for him, a “chock-it donut!” It was pretty cute. When we got back we did lunch and naps. Well, some of us. Matthew had another rough night so I got about a total of 4 hours of sleep again. Anyway, Jeff was super sweet and told me to take a nap. No questions asked, no protesting, I took him up on the offer! Well that lasted for about 20 minutes before I could hear Matthew crying so I figured I’d just get up anyway. I could tell Matthew was pretty tired so I just took him in my room thinking maybe if I rocked him he would go back to sleep. Well, he did end up falling back asleep, and so did I. We ended up taking a 2 hour nap together and it felt great.
That evening we decided to take the boys swimming at the YMCA. We’ve wanted to go for a while and Jeff didn’t have any more patients so we figured it was perfect timing. It was great and not too crowded. The pool isn’t quite like the one back in Idaho- it’s just one large pool without any shallow areas; but with the use of life jackets and float toys, we had a lot of fun and the boys especially loved it. Jacob was doing pretty well swimming around by himself.
Caleb was a little more hesitant about the water, he couldn’t just wear a life jacket because he kept putting his legs up by his chest which of course would make him tip over backwards; he did have fun swimming with Jeff though. Matthew loved the water too, it was a little colder than expected, but once he got used to it he loved it. We had a fun evening together, the boys are already asking when we can go again.
A couple other happenings from this week:
Wednesday, Taft & Zea Clayton came over to play for a couple hours. Friday afternoon, Mason & Logan Barnhurst played for a couple hours. And Friday evening Ben & Seth Cox came over for a few hours. As you can imagine, Jacob & Caleb love having so many friends to play with that are their same ages. Having so many little boys around also made it fun to go to a shower for Megan Barnhurst's new upcoming baby girl! It was an evening filled with lots of visiting, friends, fun, food, and of course...lots of pink! Thanks Jordan & Jamie for planning & hosting!
We also found out Tami & CJ are expecting baby #6 in October. We're so excited for them, maybe it'll even be another little girl for Lora to play with!
